Friendship - Writers Island

There are nineteen types of friendship, according to Wikipedia:

I have not had all these friendships. In fact, I don't think I want them all. But I have known most of them. I consider myself very fortunate, indeed. Still, like Keith Hillman describes in his friendship poem, I think I am my own best friend.

About Gimme A Dream - The Horse

Gimme A Dream was born in 1999 and was most likely bred for the hunter class in jumping and dressage. As a young colt he displayed symptoms of a poor configuration. It was believed that he would out grow his affliction and trained for jumping and dressage under English equipment. At three it was becoming apparent that he would have his poor conformation for life and was sold for the amount of $6000 CDN. Quickly it became apparent that he was not acceptable for his new owner and after realizing that she wouldn't be able to retrieve her investment, she traded him for a full-bred Morgan mare. This trade was done without mention of his difficulties. After three years, and a name change, Dream was bought and brought to the islands. He is 17hh, which makes him a very big boy, indeed. Here, he will stay, doing whatever he is capable of doing and that which is within his own interests.
